About the Journal:

International Review of Social Sciences and Humanities (IRSSH) is an open access, peer-reviewed and refereed international journal. The journal aims to maintain a rapid editorial procedure and a rigorous peer-review system. Submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere or have already been published.

The journal publishes research papers in the fields of Humanities and Social Science such as Anthropology, Economics, Business Studies, Communication Studies, Corporate Governance, Public Administration, Sociology, Social Welfare, Crosscultural Studies, Demography, Development Studies, Education, Ethics, Geography, History, Industrial Relations, Information Science, International Relations, Law, Library Science, Media Studies, Methodology, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Psychology, Linguistics, Literature, Performing Arts (music, theatre & dance), Religious Studies, Visual Arts, Women Studies and so on.

Frequency of Publication: Four issues in a year. These issues will appear in the months of January, April, July and October respectively in every year. One Volume comprises of two issues.

The following types of article will be considered:

1. Research Articles: Original research in various fields of Social Sciences and Humanities will be evaluated as research articles.

2. Research Notes: These include articles such as preliminary notes on a study, manuscripts.

3. Reviews: Reviews of recent developments, improvements, discoveries and ideas in various fields of Social Sciences and Humanities will be considered.

4. Letters to the Editor: These include opinions, comments relating to the publishing policy of the International Review of Science and Technology, news and suggestions. Letters are not to exceed a single page.

The editor reserves the right to decide that a paper may be treated as a Research Note.

Submission of Manuscripts:

The authors are cordially invited to submit papers in word and pdf formats along with a Cover Letter (download here) to the Managing Editor via e-mails: hemen_dutta08@irssh.com or submission@irssh.com. Manuscripts should be prepared in English using a word processor in journal format (download here). MS Word for Windows and .doc files are preferred. Manuscripts may be prepared with other software provided that the full document (with figures, schemes and tables inserted into the text) is exported to a MS Word format for submission. Times or Times New Roman font is  preferred.  The papers must have abstract not exceeding 200 words and Keywords. Although variations in accord with contents of a manuscript are permissible, in general all papers should have the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (if applicable) and References.  All submissions will be acknowledged within a week of the submission.  Authors are requested to suggest at least 3 independant referees (preferably non-native) with appropriate technical expertise although the editor may not necessarily approach them. Their affiliation and e-mail address should be provided as fully as possible.  We shall try our best to complete review process within 30 days from the date of submission. In order to preserve a high quality of this journal, the Editorial Board may wish to set some rules from time to time.

Important Instructions:

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. Manuscript is prepared using journal template file (download here).

Proofs:

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author and should be returned with one week of receipt. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors; any other corrections may be charged to the authors. Authors are advised to check their proofs very carefully before return, since the inclusion of late corrections cannot be acceptable.

Publication Cost and Authors Benefit:

Authors of accepted papers are requested to arrange processing charges of their papers at the rate of US$ 20 per page (Rs. 600 per page for Indian Authors). In any case, minimum processing charge of an accepted article is US $ 200 (Rs. 8,000). Two free journal complete issues are provided to the corresponding author. Additional copies may be ordered at the time of proof correction.
